CDC guidance on mask wearing is in effect on all college spaces. Vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals are required to wear a mask at all times indoors. Vaccinated individuals are required to wear a mask outdoors at large (200+) group settings. Unvaccinated individuals are required to wear a mask at all times outdoors.
There is no visitor health screening requirement. Attendees should monitor themselves for symptoms the day of the event and NOT attend the event if they are experiencing symptoms, have come into contact with anyone experiencing symptoms or otherwise are concerned that they might be infected with the coronavirus or any other illness.
For performances by Buffalo Opera Unlimited ONLY, proof of vaccination is required. Patrons are considered fully vaccinated at least 14 days after their final dose of a Pfizer, Moderna, or the single dose of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine.
A valid photo ID and one of the following must be presented at the door for entry:
1. A completed immunization card that includes the name of the vaccinated individual, type of vaccine administered, and date of last dose administered.
2. A photocopy of a vaccination card as a separate document clearly displaying all of the above information.
3. A photo of the patron's vaccine card stored on a phone or electronic device clearly displaying all of the above information.
4. The New York State Excelsior Pass displaying all-clear for entry.
At this time, the Performing Arts Center will NOT require documentation of vaccination in connection with any other events.
Hand sanitizing stations are available throughout Rockwell Hall and we encourage use of these as a good public health practice. Additionally, we encourage all attendees to an event to distance themselves from the person in line in front of them when entering, exiting or standing in line as a good public health practice.
Buffalo State follows guidelines from the New York State Department of Health and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) regarding mechanical ventilation and air filtration. The campus has installed and will maintain high-performance MERV-13 filters in the Performing Arts Center. Ventilation systems will continue operate for longer hours, with increased outdoor air being supplied to indoor spaces where possible. There may be areas of the campus that are warmer or cooler than usual as a result of these changes. Individuals are asked to please accommodate these minor inconveniences and dress appropriately, so that the whole community can benefit from these ventilation changes.
Buildings are being prepared for a 100 percent return to in-person operations for the fall 2021 semester in compliance with CDC guidelines for cleaning and disinfection. The custodial emergency response team is trained and equipped with specialized disinfecting equipment and is available to address any area of concern, at any time of day, quickly and thoroughly. Custodial Services staff members will disinfect all areas before, during and after events in the Performing Arts Center.
Concession stands and bars are not operating at this time, for the health and safety of our patrons, staff, and performers. No outside food or beverage will be allowed.
